I hope someone's working on that map mod. Hopefully multiplayer comes around, too—I think I speak for most of us when I say that we don't need BeamNG as an rFactor/AC replacement (with a two-person coding team, they probably won't be making the imminent PC sim) and we really care more about crash physics than anything else.

Especially considering the introduction of planes and helicopters into beamng drive, this seems like it could be very versatile. For an alpha thats been out less than a year, the mod community has sure gotten pretty far in terms of stretching the limits.
I am very excited to see how far the boundaries are pushed with the mod community. Big name developers need to go back to this (EA cough cough bf3), so much more potential for a game when the community can help build it.

Someone just needs to convert the Los Santos mod for GTA IV to Torque3D, and they're golden. Legality issues have always been a concern for the dev team for BeamNG, they don't seem to be happy about conversions, and I'm not sure if they'll allow it offically.

Can't tell you how many times I've thought this.
